Convoi Exceptionnel is a Nordic performing arts company established in 2017, dedicated to exploring the intersections of theatre, opera, choreography, and installation through an interdisciplinary and spatial lens. The performances emphasize a strong visual aesthetic, seamlessly integrating visual art, sound, and music to create immersive, holistic experiences. Led by Jon R. Skulberg, the productions have garnered acclaim for their sensuality, atmospheric richness, and conceptual depth.

The company collaborates with leading Danish institutions such as Dansehallerne, Bora Bora, and PASSAGE Festival, and has been featured at prominent international festivals—including Hong Kong’s New Vision Arts Festival (2021). In 2022 and 2024 the company was selected to pitch and present at Ice Hot Nordic Dance.

The name Convoi Exceptionnel—meaning “special transport” or “wide load”—serves as a metaphor for our approach: emphasizing the weight, content, and enigma carried within each project. Each performance functions as a learning situation—technically, aesthetically, ethically, and philosophically—serving as a vessel for inquiry into life's fundamental conditions.
